A new dicopper complex [Cu 2 (L)(N 3 ) 2 ](ClO 4 ) 2 ·4H 2 O (1) with imidazole-containing macrocyclic polyamine ligand was synthesized, and characterized by elemental analysis, FT-IR, UV-Vis, TGA, single-crystal X-ray diffraction, and PXRD. Complex 1 crystallizes in monoclinic, space group P2 1 /c. The coordination geometry around Cu(II) atom is fivecoordinated distorted trigonal-bipyramid, and the imidazole-pendants, and the azide anions are located on the different sides of the macrocyclic ligand.
