The topic of this thesis is wastewater treatment and recycling of Western Sydney Airport. Due to the airports’ increasing demand for water and the limitation of total water resources, it is necessary to design a wastewater treatment and recycling system for Western Sydney Airport. There are two primary types of wastewater generated by an airport: wastewater generated by passengers and wastewater generated by the operation and maintenance of the airport. The treatment of these two types of wastewater should be designed separately since these two types of wastewater have different pollutants. The primary pollutants of wastewater generated by passengers are similar to domestic wastewater, which contains organic pollutants, the primary pollutants of wastewater generated by the operation and maintenance of the airport are nitrogen and carbon compounds. By designing a wastewater treatment and recycling system, the water consumption of the airport can be reduced significantly.

Internet of Things (IoT) domain gradually growing in information technology and telecommunications systems area considering its size and complexity. It is recognized as potential domain in IoT applications. New technologies need to anticipate this sharp increase in the number of varying smart devices. In current perspective, the IOT environment, which allows a huge network of things to communicate with each other, may face a number of technical and application problems, such as privacy concerns, security, sensor anonymity, decision support, a variety of device applications, and so on. In this review paper, goal is to study various frameworks for IoT device classification possible in Tele robotic surgery and summarizes the classification algorithm. Tele robotic surgery needs robust and beneficiary control techniques for providing efficient and precise alternative for medical surgeries. Time delays over network severely impact the stability in the surgery and eventually affect the performance of expert doctors. Also we analyze the problems encountered with the M2M connectivity of network devices.

Stable operation of activated sludge process is often compromised by the occurrence of filamentous sludge bulking in wastewater treatment. Standard maintenance is implemented as a single task, which is inefficiently manipulated based on purely chemical dosage by experiences. This paper proposes a novel and efficient maintenance framework, including a set of activities: incipient fault detection, causality analysis, remaining useful life (RUL) prediction and maintenance schedule, to develop a collective strategy for sludge bulking management. In this framework, Canonical Correlation Analysis (CCA) work together with Kurtosis (KU) and an autoregressive moving average (ARMA) to identify incipient sludge bulking and to capture the evolution of sludge bulking over a long horizon. The proposed framework was tested by the collected the field data. The results showed that the proposed framework is capable of detecting (Type I error, 2.1%; Type II error, 0%), locating (root cause: temperature), calculating RUL (32-days) and maintaining sludge bulking.
