Immune modulation as a potential treatment strategy to salvage the bone metabolism after periprosthetic joint infection

Abstract: Background: In arthroplasty, periprosthetic joint infection (PJI) is one of the most disastrous postoperative complications with high long-term failure rates despite successful revision surgery.
