Immunization for infants and children before transplantation

Abstract

Sue Patey gives an overview of the immunization schedule for children with chronic kidney disease (CKD) and any additional live vaccines they require before receiving a kidney transplant. All children with CKD need to have completed their immunization schedule as only in exceptional circumstances would a child be transplanted before the full vaccination schedule was completed.
