Abstract:Strand electromagnetic stirring (S-EMS), a technique applied in the secondary cooling zone, enhances the solidification structure of casting slabs. This study examines how the arrangement pattern of electromagnetic stirring rollers—face-to-face, side-to-side or up-down misalignment produces this enhancement.
