Impact of node failure in Optical Packet Switching Metropolitan-area Networks

Abstract: In this paper we study the behavior of traffic in Metropolitan Optical Packet Switching Networks, using computer modeling and simulations. We analyze network performance and the impact of node failure compared with the impact of link failure and normal operation.
