Impact parameter dependence ofK-shell excitation probabilities in Ar ? Ar-collisions

Abstract: The impact parameter (b) dependence of the K-shell excitation probabilities (PK(b) 2p~-2pa rotational coupling mechanism gives the dominant contribution to the K-shell excitation at very small b (kinematic peak regime) as well as at very large b (adiabatic peak regime).
