Impact study of practical harmonic data using time series simulation

Abstract

With the increasin g p roliferation of non-linear loads, more harmonics are expected to be injected into the distribution system. This p a p er p resents time series simulations of harmonic analysis in the distribution system. Modelin g and analysis a pp roach is used to p erform the time series of harmonic analysis. O p enDSS, an o p en-source distribution system simulator is utilized in order to p erform the studies needed. This p a p er also includes several case studies based on IEEE test feeder and are analysed by utilizin g the harmonic p ower flow analysis. The time series simulation is p erformed by usin g the p ractical harmonic data obtained from the industries.
