Cassava (Manihot esculenta Crantz) is used by Mrs. Siti to be processed into cassava chips. In processing a food product, it is mandatory to implement employee sanitation and hygiene to ensure food safety. Therefore, it is necessary to evaluate the implementation of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) analysis based on the Regulation of the Minister of Industry of the Republic of Indonesia No. 75 of 2010 and evaluation analysis of the implementation of Sanitation Standard Operating Procedures. (SSOP) based on Head of BPOM Regulation Number HK.03.1.23.04.12.2207 of 2012 to determine the implementation of GMP and SSOP. The data collection methods used in this practical work report are observation, interviews, and literature studies. The analysis technique is by the fishbone method. The analysis results of GMP implementation show six aspects of critical (critical) deviations, including buildings, materials, final products, employees, and elimination of nuisance pests from processing units. The results of the analysis of SSOP implementation show that there are three aspects that are not in accordance with the provisions, which should include the condition and cleanliness of surfaces in contact with food ingredients, preventing cross-contamination, and eradicating nuisance pests. Based on the results of the fishbone diagram analysis, it can be concluded that there is a need for improvement in the cassava chip production process. Namely, employees are required to wash their hands before and after the production process, clean up trash around the factory, and maintain the cleanliness of raw materials, such as washing vegetables before use. So, there needs to be socialization regarding GMP and hygiene. Keywords: GMP, SSOP, Sanitation, Hygiene, Fishbone

Trees and soil management practices (i.e., pruning and fertilization) are essential in maintaining the soil fertility and coffee yield sustainability in coffee agroforestry systems. This study aimed to evaluate the impact of trees and soil management practices on the soil nutrient status within coffee-based agroforestry systems. The research was conducted in coffee agroforestry systems within Universitas Brawijaya Forest (UB Forest) from January to July 2023. The experiment was performed using a factorial randomized block design with three factors, including: 1) pruning of coffee (T1: pruned coffee, T2: unpruned coffee), 2) Fertilizer type (O: organic fertilizer, A: inorganic fertilizer, M:50% organic + 50% inorganic), and 3) Fertilizer dosage (D1: Farmer‘s dose, D2: recommended doses from the Indonesian Coffee and Cacao Research Institute (ICCRI), D3: Dosage from nutrient replacement), totaling 18 treatments with four replications of each. The soil sample was collected at topsoil (20 cm soil depth) around 50 cm from the coffee stem at the beginning of the research and six months after fertilization. The study revealed that tree management affected (p>0.05) soil nutrient status (i.e., soil total N and available P), where pruned coffee management increased soil nutrient status by 2.02 to 4.53 times compared to the unpruned coffee plot. Types and doses of fertilizer significantly affected soil pH (P < 0.05), where the application of organic fertilizer with the recommended dose (OD2) had the highest soil pH. The correlation analysis showed that soil nutrients correlated to coffee yield. The principal component analysis shows that pruned coffee combined with mixed fertilizer at the farmer‘s dose (T1MD1) is closely related to coffee production.

This study aims to identify optimal dose combinations that significantly impact reducing soil compaction in Ultisols and corn growth. The randomized block design (RBD) was utilized to conduct the study. The ameliorant materials consisted of leucaena compost and coconut shell biochar, which were divided into ten treatments and three treatments with 10 treatments & 3 group for each treatment. The treatments were combinations of coconut shell biochar leucaena compost and inorganic fertilizer. Soil physical parameters, such as soil organic matter, bulk density, porosity, and penetration resistance, were monitored during the study. The analysis was conducted using ANOVA at 95% confidence level (α = 5%). Subsequently, Duncan Multiple Range Test (DMRT) was conducted to evaluate the average effect of treatment. The result of the study indicated that Treatment of 5 tons/ha compost + 5 tons/ha biochar + ½ dose of inorganic fertilizer was able to reduce soil density compared to the control and showed a decrease in bulk density, as well as an increase in soil porosity, and a decrease in the value of soil penetration resistance. Treatment of 10 tons/ha of compost with 10 tons/ha of biochar + ½ dose of inorganic fertilizer is the best treatment for corn growth.
