Implementation of the «Smart City» Concept in the Development Of Territories

Abstract

Population growth and expansion of urban areas pose challenges to existing outdated infrastructure and inefficient use of resources. Smart cities strive to optimize the use of available resources, improve management systems, and improve the quality of life of residents. The article analyzes the views of scientists on the introduction of smart technologies in the process of management and development of the city. The current problems of the theory and practice of implementing the concept of «Smart City» in territorial administration are considered. In addition to considering the advantages of introducing new technologies into territorial administration, the article identifies a number of main problems faced by society in implementing the concept of a «Smart City».
