Implementing BPMN 2.0 Scenarios for AAL@Home Solution

Abstract: Aging tendency of European population and live longer and independently desire requires AAL solution for particular elders (chronic diseases, disabilities, aso). NITICS project aim is to develop advanced ITC solutions including monitoring and navigational support for indoor to support elderly in their daily activities. This paper offers a BPMN implementation for indoor assistance based on IoT (sensor monitoring) and Activity workflow implementation. Our solution offers an intelligent Care Center solution for c… Show more

“…Although there are several application cases existing in this context, the health area is very relevant where there are several works (Oueida et al , 2018; Ruiz-Fernández et al , 2017; Rusu et al , 2015). They ask whether innovations applied to healthcare-related systems should focus on the patient or the process, with the former having the possibility of using wearable devices as data collection instruments and their shipment to health institutions.…”

“…One goal may be to enable business processes to make use of data produced by real-world sensors while changing the physical state of the world by executing activities of those processes. For example, in Rusu et al (2015), a solution is obtained that ensures that the physical world and its representation in the model remain uncoupled and that the data produced by the device is reused or that data from different devices is processed in the same instance.…”

“…• The Business Layer responsible for framework functioning logic. On this layer the web services, the business components used to work with data from sensor or database are implemented, processing data from LS and NS subsystems, the business workflows [37], the way messages are transmitted from one module to another, and custom OSGi services.…”

“…Similarly, NITICS approach (NITICS 2015) presents a localization based system to track the location (Badawika and Kolakowski 2014) and daily activities of the user using portable body sensors along with cameras. The system is designed to distinguish abnormal behaviour (i.e., lack of activities and erratic behavior) and to inform caregivers in case of emergency (Rusu et al 2015).…”
