Abstract: Background Levodopa‐carbidopa intestinal gel (LCIG, designated in the United States as carbidopa‐levodopa enteral suspension, CLES) was approved in the United States in 2015 for the treatment of refractory motor fluctuations in individuals with Parkinson disease (PD).
