“…6 Among practical contenders, ZIF-8 is regarded as the most representative metal-organic frame (MOF) material for gas sensors thanks to its abundant microporous structure, distinguished physical and chemical stability, excellent confinement effect, and plenty of active sites. [7][8][9][10][11] However, due to low internal resistance channels and large barrier heights, single-component structures usually have inferior gas-sensing properties compared to multi-component structures. 12 To solve the above problems, researchers have used heterojunctions and noble metal doping to improve the gas sensing performance.…”

“…Generally, TMOS is used for silica membrane preparation, while there are no reports of coating membranes using TMOS on MMM. The most common coating material that is applied to MMM is polydimethylsiloxane [17,[40][41][42][43][44]. On the other hand, the selection size of the silane coating agent influences the gas diffusion compatibility.…”

“…Zeolitic imidazolate frameworks (ZIFs) as a special subfamily of metal–organic frameworks (MOFs) consist of transition-metal ions (such as Zn 2+ and Co 2+ ) and imidazolate linkers that form topologies similar to those of zeolites and inorganic nano-oxide materials. By adjusting the components and modifying the functional groups, more than 150 kinds of ZIFs have been produced with different topological features. The unique structures of ZIFs inherit not only the advantages of high porosity, high specific surface area, uniform porous structures, and easy functionalization from MOFs but also the tunability and high stability from traditional zeolites, making them potentially promising for many applications in gas adsorption and separation, chemical sensing, , biomedicine, , catalysis, etc. As reported by Yang et al, Pd nanocubes@ZIF-8 catalysts were prepared by encapsulating Pd nanocubes within ZIF-8 for olefin hydrogenation, and the catalysts exhibited efficient performance in selective hydrogenation.…”
