Improved Hydrogen Storage in the Metal‐Organic Framework Cu3(BTC)2

Abstract: tic acid 27 ml L -1 , surface agent 20-30 mg L -1 , IF-MoS 2 and 2H-MoS 2 3 g L -1 , pH=4.8-5.1, temperature at 353-358 K and the depositing time is 2 h. The electroless coatings were treated at 673 K for 2 h in vacuum. The surface morphology of the coatings was characterized by scanning electron microscopy (SEM, FSEM SIRION JY/ T010-1996).The tribological properties of the coatings were investigated using a pin-ondisk wear tester (MMW-1) under unlubricated condition in air (relative humidity 60 %) at sliding … Show more

“…For the NLDFT evaluation, slit and/or cylindrical pores were assumed which represents a com-promise between availability of mathematical PSD-al-gorithms with spherical pore structure and real pore structures. [13,24,25]. Other studies report BET surface areas for this material of 1781 m 2 /g (single-point BET) [26], 1154 m 2 /g [7] and 1239 m 2 /g [11] which is similar to the BET surface area of 1246 m 2 /g ascertained in this study (all measured with N 2 at 77 K).…”

“…It can be seen that the maximum adsorption for solvothermal product was 1.19 wt%, while for the electrolysis product it was up to 4.75 wt%. The solvothermal synthesized HKUST-1 had the same tendency as in Kraewic, et al [23], Liu, et al [24] & Khvostikova, et al [25]. In the case of the electrolysis product, the hydrogen adsorption increased sharply at elevated pressure, followed by a plateau after a pressure of 1 bar.…”

“…Hydrogen storage measurements have been performed at room temperature using a Sieverts apparatus designed by the authors for small masses. Figure 7 shows the hydrogen sorption results of the HKUST-1 at low pressure of up to 1.2 bar, presented together with the results obtained by other researchers [23][24][25]. It can be seen that the maximum adsorption for solvothermal product was 1.19 wt%, while for the electrolysis product it was up to 4.75 wt%.…”

“…There have been continuous efforts to improve the synthesis and activation of Cu-BTC. [30][31][32][33] Various MOFs have generally been synthesized widely by slow diffusion techniques, conventional hydrothermal and solvothermal methods. [1][2][3][4] However, the reactions used to synthesize many MOFs, particularly those with good thermal stability, require hydro/solvothermal synthesis conditions.…”
