Abstract:Two improved kinetic Monte Carlo (kMC) models for investigations of the magnetic properties of finite-size atomic chains are presented. These models take into account the possible noncollinearity of magnetic moments. The spontaneous remagnetization of ferromagnetic Co chains on Pt(997) surface and antiferromagnetic Fe chains on Cu2N/Cu(001) surface is investigated in the framework of our models. The results are compared with the results of simple kMC model. It is also shown that a single domain-wall approximati… Show more
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
