Improvement of Tomato Fruit Quality and Soil Nutrients through Foliar Spraying Fulvic Acid under Stress of Copper and Cadmium

Abstract: Fulvic acid (FA), the essence and most active component in humus, is widely used as a fertilizer synergistic agent and for soil improvement. As a synergist, FA can not only highly chelate microelements, but also play a key role as a growth promoter. Due to the small molecular weight and high solubility, FA is usually used by foliar spraying in vegetable production, yet the effect on fruit quality and nutrient absorption is still unclear. Here, ‘Jinpengdashuai’ tomatoes were used to investigate the effects of s… Show more

“…Fulvic acid is widely used in medicine, agriculture, animal husbandry and other fields. [9,10] Fulvic acid can be used in the synthesis of plant growth regulators and animal feed, [11] as well as in the synthesis of drugs for the treatment of hypertension and gynecological diseases. [12] In addition, fulvic acid can regulate the immune system, affect the oxidative state of cells, improve gastrointestinal function, and has great potential in the treatment of chronic inflammatory diseases, including diabetes.…”
