Abstract: Deformable image registration (DIR) is a widely used technique in radiotherapy. Complex deformations, resulting from large anatomical changes, are a regular challenge. DIR algorithms generally seek a balance between capturing large deformations and preserving a smooth deformation vector field (DVF).
