Abstract:Deformable image registration (DIR) is a widely used technique in radiotherapy. Complex deformations, resulting from large anatomical changes, are a regular challenge. DIR algorithms generally seek a balance between capturing large deformations and preserving a smooth deformation vector field (DVF). We propose a novel structure-based term that can enhance the registration efficacy while ensuring a smooth DVF.
The proposed novel similarity metric for controlling structures was introduced as a new term i… Show more
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
