In recent years, the Chinese government has recognized the important role of urban green space, and each province has formulated corresponding policies to increase the area of green space. However, China's urban land development faces problems such as insufficient preliminary research, disorganized construction management, and chaotic organization and management. These problems are also reflected in urban garden projects. Compared with developed countries, China's urban garden engineering technology and management in the modern sense are relatively backward. The study takes the garden engineering project management as a comprehensive research subject, and elaborates on it from two perspectives, which are project management content and quota design method. First, based on the Plan-Do-Check-Act (PDCA) cycle, a standardized management system with cost management, progress management, quality management and safety management as the main content is constructed. Then, the limit design method is developed utilizing multiple linear regression analysis. Finally, the limit design method is tested. The test results show that the limit design scheme proposed in the study can optimize the traditional limit design scheme by 53.34%. The quota design methods were evaluated, and the 10 sample items received a score range of 38.22 to 86.09 points, with an average score of 62.36 points. There are six projects with scores above 60 and 4 projects with scores below 60. This verifies that the quota design is reasonable. In terms of theory, the research combines the current laws and regulations and the administrative management system to construct a complete urban landscape engineering management system, which can provide a reference for solving the existing problems in the current urban landscape engineering management. In practice, although the proposed limit design method has a prediction error of 7.84%, it is still less than 10% of the legal ceiling. In engineering practice, it can effectively strengthen construction management and organizational management. Overall, the study proposes to build a standardized management system based on the PDCA cycle, with cost management, schedule management, quality management, and safety management as the main contents. The limited design method constructed using multiple linear regression analysis has effectiveness and practicality.

Both the Lean philosophy and occupational safety and health have been widely studied, although this has usually been carried out independently. However, the correlation between Lean and occupational safety and health in the industrial context is still underexplored. Indeed, Lean tools can be applied to ensure the best safety environment for workers in each kind of manufacturing process, and this deserves to be studied. The study described here aims to understand the influence of each of a set of four Lean tools used in an industrial context with a strong manual labor component, seeking to determine the influence of each of these Lean tools on the increase in safety obtained through their application. For this purpose, four Lean tools that are quite commonly applied are selected, taking into account previously presented work that pointed to the positive influence of the application of each of these tools on worker safety: total productive maintenance system, Gemba walk, visual management and Yokoten. This study aims to apply these Lean tools and to analyze their impact on productivity, and then, on the safety of a company selected as a target in order to validate the concept. For this purpose, a new tool is created. In the first instance, the tool analyzes the current state of the productive process and the safety level through the study of the risk levels detected in the plant. In terms of productivity results, a reduction between 7% and 12% in cycle time is achieved in four areas of the plant. The feedback from employees showed increased satisfaction with the processes’ simplification. To conclude, a 50% reduction in the number of work accidents per month is observed as a result of the implementation of Lean tools. The influence of the selected Lean tools on increasing both productivity and safety is clear, and our results prove the selection of tools to be largely adequate.

According to the World Health Organisation (WHO) a health system consists of many components like organizations, institutions, resources, and people whose primary purpose is to improve health. The system is complex and requires staff, funds, information, supplies, transport, communications and overall guidance and direction to function properly. These elements interact with each other and, as in the logistics system, there are uninterrupted physical, decision-making and information flows between its most important elements, which include: service providers, service recipients (patients), a payer (the National Health Fund), control and supervision institutions, the Ministry of Health. The Polish healthcare system is struggling with many problems, such as insufficient access to health services, inefficient system management, shortages of medical staff, or underfunding. The use of Value Stream Mapping (VSM) standards can significantly contribute to the improvement of logistics processes of the Polish healthcare system. The standards can be also used to improve the processes of treatment of other diseases, but also the functioning of healthcare units.The aim of the article is to present the possibility of applying Value Stream Mapping standards in the process of ischemic stroke treatment as the results of the project ‘Lean Management in Healthcare’, implemented by the consortium consisting of the Medical University of Warsaw, the Institute of Psychiatry and Neurology in Warsaw and the Polish Society of Health Economics, financed by the National Centre for Research and Development under contract no. IS-2/200/NCBR/2015.
