Abstract: Layered oxides with active oxygen redox are attractive cathode materials for sodium‐ion batteries (SIBs) due to high capacity but suffer from rapid capacity/voltage deterioration and sluggish reaction kinetics stemming from lattice oxygen release, interfacial side reactions, and structural reconstruction.
