Impurity Scattering in n‐Ge in Quantizing Magnetic Fields

Abstract: The magnetic field dependence of the magnetoresistance in nondegenerate n-Ge is experimentally and theoretically investigated. The conductivity component connected with the impurity scattering (uiY) is selected. Its magnetic field dependence in quantizing magnetic field is in accordance with theory. Show more

“…The above mentioned distinctive features with regard to the determination of the helicity cross sections make σ + and σ − potentially more convenient, in order to study the deviations from the SM due to the four-fermion contact interactions. The role of these observables also for other types of new physics to be studied in e + e − collisions such as, e.g., a new heavy neutral gauge boson Z ′ or the anomalous gauge boson couplings, has previously been emphasized in [19], [20].…”

“…Babich et al [23] used these results to analyze the magnetoresistance for impurity scattering using the many-valley model of n-Ge. A completely new theory for the transverse magnetoresistance based 011 the equivalence of Joule heat and energy loss has been presented by Doran and Gerlach [24, 251 and compared with the experimental work of Neuringer [26].…”
