“…4,33 The KNN-BG-BNZ ceramics with x $ 0.002 present the coexistence of rhombohedral (R), orthorhombic and tetragonal phases at room temperature, then the initial models were KNbO 3 rhombohedral R3m: R, orthorhombic Amm2 and tetragonal P4mm. Since the KNN-BG-BNZ ceramics with x ¼ 0.000 and 0.001 have orthorhombic (O) and tetragonal (T) phases, the coordinates of KNbO 3 orthorhombic Amm2 and tetragonal P4mm were used as the initial models.…”

“…Recently, our group developed a seed-free, solid-state crystal growth (SFSSCG) method to grow KNN-based crystals. [20][21][22][23][24][25][26][27] At temperature below the melting temperature of the system, centimeter-scale bulk KNN single crystals with a low segregation coefficient can be grown by a simple route similar to the ceramic process. Compared with the above traditional methods, the SFSSCG method has extraordinary advantages such as low energy consumption, low investment, high composition uniformity, etc., and can overcome the problems of incompatible melting and high volatility.…”

“…Li + , Ba 2+ , La 3+ , Bi 3+ , Sr 2 , Pb 2+ and Ca 2+ while for the B side it is probable to introduce Zr 4+ , Ti 4+ , Sn 4+ , Ti 4+ , Sb 5+ or Ta 5+ and the O denotes the oxygen atom. 22 For example, the compounds such as LiEO 3 (E = Sb, Ta) 23,24 and FTiO 3 (F = Bi 0.5 K 0.5 , Bi 0.5 Na 0.5 , Ba, Ca, Sr) [25][26][27][28][29] can be utilized to diminish TO-T, and GZrO 3 (G = Bi 0.5 K 0.5 Bi 0.5 Na 0.5 Ba, Sr, Mg), [30][31][32][33][34] BiHO 3 (H = Sc, Co, Fe), [35][36][37] or combination of multiple additives. [38][39][40] Conversely, compared with other lead-free ceramics, the NKNbased ceramics showed a few clear benefits, including a rather high piezoelectric coefficient (d 33 ) and high Curie temperature (T c ), which make NKN one of the most optimistic choices for toxic ceramics.…”
