Abstract

In this fifth editorial of 2023, we will highlight two manuscripts investigating (1) the effects of short-term exposure of the chemical bishenol A (BPA) on cellular senescence in the rat kidney, and (2) whether the morphological effects evident in porcine intestinal epithelial cells cultured in an air-liquid interface are also accompanied by changes in cellular metabolic functions.
