In vitro adventitious shoot regeneration from leaf explants of some apricot cultivars

Abstract: Apricot is one of the most valuable commercial fruits. In vitro propagation of apricot is very important for rapid multiplication of cultivars with desirable traits and production of cleaning up and virus-free plants. Low frequency of multiplication is the main limiting factor for traditional propagation methods. In this regard, the objective of our investigation was to study the morphogenetic capacity of apricot leaf explants of the promising cultivars ‘Iskorka Tavridy’, ‘Magister’ and ‘Bergeron’ for regenera… Show more

“…In this regard, an effective and reliable system of peach microshoots regeneration from somatic tissues under in vitro conditions is necessary [7,8]. It is known that peach is one of the crops to most difficult propagate under in vitro conditions [6,9,10]. The aim of the presented study was to identify morphogenetic capacity of organs and tissues in peach hybrid forms under in vitro conditions for further studies and use in the breeding process.…”

“…Among them, 288 cultivars were bred in the NBG [7]. For some native ('Posol Mira̕ , 'Rodzynka̕ , 'Zolotaya Moskva, 'Sovetskiy̕ , 'Pamyatniy Nikitskiy̕ , 'Lakomy̕ , 'Orfei̕ ) and foreign cultivars (Ambergold̕ , 'Dixired̕ , 'Red Haven̕ ) microshoot regeneration in vitro was performed [8,9]. Under cross-breeding of 'Zlatogor̕ and 'Uspar̕ , performed by Z.N.…”
