Treatment of multiple impacted teeth is challenging. Three-dimensional treatment planning can help in delivering a better outcome. This case report presents a patient with an incomplete dental transposition between the canine and lateral incisor of the maxillary right side associated with the impaction of a dilacerated right central incisor. Using a two-stage surgical exposure and augmented corticotomy, the patient's occlusion and smile esthetics were significantly improved, and Class I occlusal relationships with optimal overjet and overbite were achieved after 50 months of orthodontic treatment. Thirty-month posttreatment records revealed a stable result. (Angle Orthod. 2018;88:107-121)

Although maxillary central incisors impaction is not a high frequent clinical condition, it is RESUMOA impacção de incisivos centrais superiores é uma condição clínica que embora não seja muito frequente, é um fator desagradável do ponto de vista estético e funcional. Existem diversas causas dessa alteração e a literatura é consensual quanto à necessidade da realização do diagnóstico e da intervenção o mais precocemente possível. Este trabalho traz o relato de um caso clínico de um paciente com 10 anos de idade, na fase da dentição mista, com má oclusão de Classe I, impacção de incisivos centrais superiores associado à retenção prolongada dos decíduos e a presença de dois supra-numerários na linha média. A conduta proposta foi à remoção cirúrgica dos mesiodens, colagem de dispositivos ortodônticos nos incisivos centrais impactados e, tracionamento ortodôntico com aparelho removível. Desta forma, embora a época de tratamento não fosse a ideal, pois o diagnóstico deveria ter sido estabelecido o mais precocemente possível, alcançou-se um resultado estético e funcional favorável.Termos de indexação: Má oclusão. ÖZBu olgu sunumunda gömülü santral keserlerin sürdürülmesinde iki farklı tekniğin etkinliğinin değerlendirilmiştir. On-bir ve 23 yıl kronolojik yaştaki iki erkek hastanın santral keser dişlerini sürdürmek için sabit ortodontik ataşmanlar uygulandı. Her iki olguda da seviyeleme ve sıralama aşamalarından sonra gömülü dişlerin üzeri cerrahi olarak açılarak cleat ataşmanlar yerleştirildi. Olgu 1; 1 hafta sonra 11 yaşındaki hastanın üst sol santral kesici dişine Kilroy I spring yerleş-tirilerek aktive edildi, 3. ayın sonunda diş ağızda gözlendi ve diş tamamen sür-dükten sonra Kilroy I spring çıkartılarak sabit ortodontik mekaniklerle tedaviye devam edildi. On-altı ay süren tedavinin ardından sabit ataşmanlar çıkartıldı. Olgu 2; 23 yaşındaki hastanın her iki gömülü santralinden alt arkına 1/8 medium lastik kullanımı öğretildi. Altı ay sonunda diş ağızda gözlendi ve tamamen sürdükten sonra sabit ortodontik mekanikler ile tedaviye devam edildi. Yirmiiki ay süren tedavinin ardından sabit ortodontik ataşmanlar çıkartıldı. Bu iki olgu ile gömülü üst keser dişlerin sürdürülmesinde kullanılan her iki tekniğin de multidisipliner yaklaşım ile başarılı olduğu vurgulanmak istenmiştir.Anahtar sözcükler: Gömülü Santral Diş, Kilroy Spring, Sürnümerer Diş. ABSTRACTThe objective of this study was to evaluate the effectiveness of two different techniques for the eruption of impacted central incisors. Two male patients (first 11 years old; second 23 years old) were treated with fixed orthodontic mechanics to erupt the patient's central incisors. After leveling and aligning stage, cleat attachments surgically placed over the impacted teeth in two cases. Case 1; after 1 week, Kilroy I spring placed on the upper left central incisor teeth and it was activated. At the end of the 3rd month, teeth were observed in the mouth. After removal of Kilroy I spring, fixed orthodontic treatment was continued. Fixed attachments were removed at the end of treatment which was 16 months. Case 2; was taught taking 1/8 medium elastics from impacted centrals to lower arch. At the end of the 6th month, teeth were observed in the mouth and fixed orthodontic treatment was continued. Fixed orthodontic attachments were removed at the end of the treatment period of 22 months. Eruption of the upper incisors was reached successfully with both techniques using multidiciplinary approach.
