Increased oscillatory power in a computational model of the olfactory bulb due to synaptic degeneration

Abstract: Several neurodegenerative diseases impact the olfactory system, and in particular the olfactory bulb, early in disease progression. One mechanism by which damage occurs is via synaptic dysfunction.
