“…27 This type of analysis has been used in a variety of settings. 30,31 In this study, the model was shown to have clinical utility for probability threshold below 20% but net harm above 20%. Further work may involve testing whether or not physicians would be willing to use this prognostic model for guiding aspect of care management that are low risk, for example, coordinating uptake of ACP discussions, versus aspects of care that may require more accuracy and precision such as withdrawing from life-sustaining dialysis treatment.…”

“…Zlatým standardem vyšetření pacientů s podezřením na stabilní formy ICHS je s ohledem na jeho dostupnost a cenu ergometrické vyšetření, založené na hodnocení klinických obtíží a změn EKG. Problémem je však poměrně vysoká četnost nejednoznačných a falešně pozitivních výsledků [6,7]. Proto je třeba často indikovat nové vyšetření jinou metodikou.…”

“…Among the available techniques for the assessment of inducible myocardial ischemia, stress echocardiography entails the performance of a resting echocardiographic study, to which images obtained during stress may be compared. Thus, this technique may not only render further diagnostic and prognostic information from the evaluation of inducible LV wall motion abnormalities in this setting [8], but also allows for the assessment of alternative causes of chest pain, as opposed to other widely employed noninvasive stress testing modalities, such as exercise electrocardiography or myocardial perfusion imaging. Thus, stress echocardiography may ‘kill several birds with one stone' if TTE has not been previously performed.…”
