Digital transformation is now inevitable for anyone, individually and organizationally, including village government organizations. Therefore, the village government must be ready to transform into a smart village. The smart village component consists of smart government, smart environment, smart economy, smart mobility, smart people, and smart living. This study aims to analyze the readiness of local communities for smart villages. This research uses quantitative methods, where the population is local people. Kalikidang Village, located in Sokaraja, Banyumas regency, was used as a case study. The number of respondents was 20, taken through proportional random sampling techniques. Data analysis techniques use decision trees that are processed through Rapidminer software. The results showed that individual characteristics significantly influence the readiness of smart villages where the domicile attribute is the most influential

Statistical partitioning and publishing is commonly used in location-based big data services to address queries such as the number of points of interest, available vehicles, traffic flows, infected patients, etc., within a certain range. Adding noise perturbation to the location-based statistical data according to the differential privacy model can reduce various risks caused by location privacy leakage while keeping the statistical characteristics of the published data. The traditional statistical partitioning and publishing methods realize the decomposition and indexing of 2D space from top to bottom. However, they can easily cause the over-partitioning or under-partitioning phenomenon, and therefore need multiple times of data scan. This paper proposes a grid clustering and differential privacy protection method for location-based statistical big data publishing scenarios. We implement location-based big data statistics in units of equal-sized grids and perform density classification on uniformly distributed grids by discrete wavelet transform. A bottom-up grid clustering algorithm is designed to perform on the blank and the uniform grids of the same density level based on neighborhood similarity. The Laplacian noise is incorporated into the clustering results according to the differential privacy model to form the published statistics. Experimental comparison of the real-world datasets manifests that the grid clustering and differential privacy publishing method proposed in this paper is superior to other existing partition publishing methods in terms of range querying accuracy and algorithm operating efficiency.

Fewer studies have investigated the factors affecting fully Automated Vehicles (AVs) acceptance and their association with demographics and travel behaviour in the Australian context. Evidence shows that public opinions and adoption towards AVs may vary by country. Therefore, this study aims to systematically explore the factors affecting public opinion towards fully AVs by conducting a survey in Australia. Specifically, the study examines seven key attributes (benefits/usefulness, ease of use, attitude, data privacy, willingness to pay more, social influence, and trust) towards the opinions of AVs and their association between demographic and travel behaviour. The results from 809 Australian responses show that Australians tend to have a positive attitude toward AVs. Age and years of driving experience are the two most important factors instead of travel characteristics (e.g. frequency of driving cars, travel time by car, and distance of driving cars). Being less exposed to automation technology is likely to be the main reason affecting the adoption of AVs for the two socio‐demographic factors: age and years of driving experience. Males hold a relatively positive attitude towards AVs than females. Likewise, Australians are less likely to pay more for fully AVs than conventional vehicles. Data privacy is also concerning for Australians.
