Inducible Nitric Oxide Synthase Contributes to Ventilator-induced Lung Injury

Abstract: Rationale: Inducible nitric oxide synthase (iNOS) has been implicated in the development of acute lung injury. Recent studies indicate a role for mechanical stress in iNOS and endothelial NOS (eNOS) regulation.
