Influence of microstructure properties and layer thickness on strength and permeance of ceramic membranes

Abstract: We numerically predict the microstructure properties of ceramic membranes and the coupling effects of microstructure properties and layer thickness on the strength and permeance of ceramic membranes. It is found that particle size is the most important factor, followed by thickness and finally by microstructure parameters.
