Influence of Stacking Sequence on the Damage Growth in Quasi-isotropic CFRP Laminates

Abstract: Tensile tests are conducted for six types of quasi-isotropic carbon fiber reinforced plastics (CFRP) laminates, to investigate the influence of stacking sequence on the damage pattern and final failure. Stresses in the specimens are analyzed based on the FEM code-ANSYS, and the correlation between the numerical results and the practical observations is discussed.
