Abstract:The influence of temperature and organics on anaerobic ammonium oxidation (ANAMMOX) bacteria activity was investigated in an up-flow ANAMMOX reactor. The kinetics characteristics of cultured ANAMMOX bacteria were analyzed. The results showed that temperature had a significant effect on ANAMMOX bacteria activity, and it was very important to maintain a high temperature to obtain the high activity of ANAMMOX bacteria.
