Abstract:The paper investigates the role of the association of polymorphic variants of the tissue plasminogen activator inhibitor 1 (PAI-1) and angiotensin-converting enzyme (ACE) genes in 244 patients with coronavirus infection with varying degrees of disease severity (mild, moderate, and the group of deaths). The influence of the age factor in conjunction with various genotypes on the course of coronavirus infection is also being studied. An analysis of the frequencies of alleles and genotypes of ACE found statistica… Show more

scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
