Influence of the Forming Temperature on the Microstructure and Mechanical Properties of Extruded Ti6Al4V Rods

Abstract: The extrusion of Ti6Al4V has to be done at temperatures above 900°C. It is known for the rolling and forging of dual phase titanium alloys that the process temperature has an influence on the resulting texture and microstructure.
