Abstract: PurposeThe purpose of this paper is to analyze the impact of the corona situation on the academic library services, policies and activities.Design/methodology/approachThe methodology of the paper is opinion piece based on experiences.FindingsThere is a need for global policymaking for both the open academic resources dissemination and crisis management.Originality/valueThe originality of the paper is based on recent experiences.
