Infrared spectrum and potential constants of silicon tetrafluoride

Abstract: Doppler-limited tunable diode laser spectra of v. of 28SiF. have been analyzed and the spectroscopic constants determined. In contrast to most earlier low-resolution studies, the Coriolis constant t •. when combined with t 3 as obtained from previous laser spectroscopy. yields a zeta sum that is within 5% of the expected harmonic value of 1/2. The band origins of 12 overtones and combinations have been obtained from Fourier-transform spectra (0.04 cm-1 resolution). resulting in estimates of the anharmonicity c… Show more

“…Using the force field from [20], we calculated the frequencies and coefficients S k of the vibration patterns of the normal modes taking into account the difference in the absorption coefficients of all the three isotopically substituted molecules. The isotope shifts ∆ν Table 3 The relative intensities ξ = A(ν k )/A(ν 1 + ν 3 ) presented in Table 1 are obtained by averaging of the measurements in solutions in liquefied Ar at 90 K and in Kr at 160-170 K. The measurement errors of the relative intensities of the bands of the same order are within 2-5%.…”

“…In assigning absorption bands and lines of impurities in the gas phase, we used earlier data for SiF 4 and SiH 4 [10,11], HITRAN Database resources [12] (HF, H 2 O, CO, CO 2 , and CH 4 molecules), and earlier data for hexafluorodisiloxane, trifluorohydroxysilane, and fluorosilanes [13][14][15][16][17][18][19][20][21].…”
