Abstract:We study a problem of pion production in heavy ion collision in the context of the Isospindependent Boltzmann-Uehling-Uhlenbeck transport model. In order to ponder the effect of internucleon correlations on pion yields, we generated nucleon densities using two different models, the Skyrme-Hartree-Fock model and configuration interaction shell model. Indeed, inter-nucleon correlations are explicitly taken into account in shell model, while they are averaged in the Skyrme-Hartree-Fock model. As an application of… Show more

scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
