Innovative neon refrigeration unit operating down to 30 K

Abstract: A new compact, low-cost, economically competitive and environmentally friendly cryogenic system for cooling a continuous gas flow down to about 30 K is under developing at the ILK Dresden, reported in this paper. The paper shows thermodynamic calculations of cycles on neon and neon-helium mixtures.
