Inorganic fluoride: Evaluation of risks to health from environmental exposure in Canada

Abstract: Inorganic fluoride is included on the List of Priority Substances to be assessed under the Canadian Environmental Protection Act.Available epidemiological data on the carcinogenicity of fluoride in human populations exposed in drinking water or in the occupational environment or in animal species exposed by ingestion are inconclusive.
