Abstract: Formaldehyde is a prominent volatile organic compound and also considered an indoor air pollutant. Chlorophytum comosum, an indoor plant, has been reported to metabolize indoor formaldehyde. But the phytotoxic effects of formaldehyde, being a pollutant, on C. comosum is not well explored.
