Berberine (BBR) is a quaternary ammonium alkaloid isolated from the Traditional Chinese Medicine Coptis chinensis. It possesses a plethora of pharmacological activities because its unique structure properties make it readily interact with macromolecules through π-π stacking and electrostatic interaction.
