Abstract:Background
High-temperature requirement protease A2 (HtrA2/Omi) is a mitochondrial chaperone highly conserved from bacteria to humans. It plays an important role in mitochondrial homeostasis and apoptosis. In this study, we investigated the role of HtrA2 in mouse oocyte maturation.
