Insulation Sheath Materials for Cold Preservation

Abstract: The article studies one of the aspects of the heat-insulating multifunctional shells use - the cold preservation. Such task is relevant for cold storages, workshops and warehouses, in which low temperatures constant maintenance is necessary, for sports facilities (for example, ice rinks and ski facilities). In all cases of application, the main goal is to achieve the economic efficiency, which is expressed in functional results (preservation of the material that breaks down at positive temperatures) and in ene… Show more

“…6). Proper insulation and selection of heat-insulating material that meets all the requirements and objectives minimize heating costs, ensure efficient usage of energy resources and regulate the indoor environment, maintaining the optimal temperature and humidity conditions inside the storage facility [16][17][18][19]. The environmental friendliness and harmlessness of the insulator becomes an important aspect of choice for the storage facilities where long-term storing of agricultural products is foreseen.…”

“…Assessment of the creeping properties of plastics under a dead load is used relatively often in the examination of their properties. The peculiarity of the method developed by NRU MGSU in collaboration with Vilnius Gediminas Technical University (VILNIUS TECH) is that the samples were preliminarily subjected to the climatic impact and then subsequently investigated for creeping [23][24][25].…”

“…The effectiveness of the insulation shell is estimated by the thermal resistance of the structure (mainly using computational methods) or by the heat flow through the surface of the roof, determined by the results of experiments [12][13][14][15].…”
