Insulin resistance, type 2 diabetes mellitus and sarcopenia

Abstract: Sarcopenia is a chronic age-associated disease, the prevalence of which increases with aging. The primary form is associated with aging, when no other causes have been identified, the cause of secondary sarcopenia may be various diseases, including type 2 diabetes mellitus (DM2).
