To find effective control of the duplex process of induction melting in conditions of uncertainties, a method was suggested that made it possible to obtain optimal controls for both stages: melting and thermal treatment.It is shown how the search for an optimal melting control strategy can be performed using the theory of statistical games. At the same time, it is selected which of the melting regimes will be the best with the existing provision of the shop with charge materials. The costs of melting are the total costs, consisting of:-costs for the selected technological mode of melting (including costs for materials); -costs from the potential rejection of castings due to the non-conformity of the chemical composition of the alloy to the specified -due to the incorrectly chosen melting mode;-costs from the downtime due to the fact that the necessary amount of metal from the furnace is not delivered to the conveyor.The choice of an optimal control strategy in accordance with the proposed procedure can remove uncertainty in the evaluation of input process variables if they are taken as indicators of the charge quality.To find the optimal control at the stage of the heat treatment, a multialternative description of the final state is proposed on the basis of solving the problem of ridge analysis. This makes it possible to remove the uncertainty in the estimation of the final state, which allows a lot of optimal solutions in the sense of achieving a given quality. It is shown that such approach makes it possible not only to synthesize the optimal controller of the temperature regime on the basis of an analysis of the system of differential equations describing the control object, but also the application of the Pontryagin maximum principle to search for optimal control of the thermal treatment.The proposed method allows to determine the optimal control in the sense of stabilization for a given process parameter of the duplex process of induction melting. The resulting solutions form the necessary logical conditions for the logic control unit for the control system of the duplex induction melting process.Keywords: optimal control strategy, duplex induction melting process, multialternative description of the final state.

<em>Drug addiction in Ukraine has been showing signs of an epidemic and represents one of the potential threats to Ukraine's national security. This article highlights the regulation of the ratio of criminal and administrative liability as to countering offences in the sphere of trafficking of narcotic drugs, psychotropic substances, their analogues and precursors. The research method is presented as comparative-legal (legislation of Ukraine, Holland, Germany, Italy, Spain, Switzerland, Netherlands, Austria, Portugal and Finland) and systematic analysis. The sanctions for drug crimes provided for in the legislation, countries are divided into three groups, namely hard policy group, strict control group, and liberal group. Summing up the analysis of the legal regulation of the fight against drug crime in different countries, it should be noted that international legal acts govern most countries' legislation. At the same time, the legislation and executive system of punishments of various states in combating drug crimes are specific, due not so much to the country's national characteristics but to the concretely formed criminogenic situation in this area.</em>

Increasing the mechanical properties of structural cast iron for machine-building parts by combined Mn – Al alloying

The object of research in this work was cast iron for machine-building parts, alloyed with Al. The possibility of improving the mechanical properties of cast iron by choosing the optimal Mn – Al combinations, depending on the carbon content in the cast iron, was determined. The study was carried out on the basis of available retrospective data of serial industrial melts by constructing the regression equation for the ultimate strength of cast iron in the three-factor space of the input variables C – Mn – Al. The optimization problem was solved by the ridge analysis method after reducing the dimension of the factor space by fixing the carbon content at three levels: C = 3 %, C = 3.3 %, and C = 3.6 %. It was found that the maximum values of the ultimate strength are achieved at the minimum level of carbon content (C = 3%) and are in the range of values close to 300 MPa. In this case, the Al content is in the range (2.4–2.6) %, and the Mn content is about 0.82 %. With an increase in the carbon content, there is a tendency to a decrease in the content of Mn and Al in the alloy, which is necessary to ensure the ultimate strength close to 300 MPa. The results of the ridge analysis of the response surface also showed that at the upper limit of the carbon content (C = 3.6%), it is not possible to reach the ultimate strength of 300 MPa in the existing range of Mn and Al variation. All solutions are verified for the following ranges of input variables C = (2.94–3.66) %, Mn = (0.5–1.1) %, Al = (1.7–2.9) %. Graphical-analytical descriptions of the optimal Mn – Al ratios are obtained, depending on the actual content of carbon in the alloy, which make it possible to purposefully select the optimal melting modes by controlling the tensile strength of the alloy
