Abstract: Aqueous zinc‐iodine batteries (AZIBs) are very promising energy storage systems owing to their safety, reliability, large specific capacity, and durable lifespan. However, the sluggish iodine redox kinetics and polyiodides shuttle effect severely impedes their wider application.
