Abstract

Autonomous vehicle (AV) technologies, coupled with the rapid growth of the internet of things (IoT), have ushered in an era of intelligent mobility. This evolution holds the potential to significantly contribute to the development of sustainable cities and communities by addressing pressing issues such as traffic congestion, environmental pollution, and monotonous transportation systems. AVs can effectively mitigate these challenges by utilizing cutting-edge sensors, artificial intelligence (AI), and advanced communication protocols. This comprehensive approach allows AVs to interact with surrounding infrastructure seamlessly. Integrating IoT in autonomous vehicles enhances their ability to collect, analyze, and utilize data, improving vehicle performance and transportation networks.
