Abstract:We investigated effects of Fe segregation from partially Fe-substituted MgO (MgFeO) on the magnetic properties of CoFeB/MgFeO multilayers. X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy and magnetic measurements revealed that segregated Fe reduced to metallic Fe and ferromagnetism was exhibited at the CoFeB/MgFeO interface. The CoFeB/MgFeO multilayer showed a more than 2-fold enhancement in perpendicular magnetic anisotropy (PMA) energy density compared with that of a standard CoFeB/MgO multilayer. The PMA energy density wa… Show more
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
