Interferometric Measurements of Time-Dependent Electron Density in the Xenon ``Pinched'' Plasma Laser

Abstract: Spectroscopic measurements have indicated that laser lines obtained with a xenon ``pinch'' laser arise from transitions in triply ionized species. Measurements of the time-dependent electron density and of the plasma dynamics indicate that this is indeed the case.
