Intermastoid distance as a criterion for determining the sex of the human skull

Abstract: Annotation. The mastoid processes of the temporal bones are of great interest from the point of view of determining the sex of whole skulls and their fragments. The researchers established sex differences in the linear dimensions of the mastoid processes, the shape and dimensions of the mastoid triangle, and the length of the intermastoidale distance.
