Internet of things (IoT) based smart health care system

The IoT in health care is currently booming in the world of health care in particular. Industry has risen from generation 1.0 to 4.0 during the Internet of things period. As we remember, we came across the exact submission of the traditional health care system. Each time the patient has needed to visit the clinic/hospitals, even for small complications that may affect the patient's medical costs along with time and energy. One more significant factor is also an emergency; otherwise, she/he/older population was unable to demand urgent assistance from the older system of healthcare. And yet somehow, the situation has changed with the use of the cyber-physical world; we are heading out of the 4th phase of the health care industry means smart health care network. This paper offers an insight into different facets of how healthcare systems such as doctors, hospitals, and of course, patients are powered by the internet of things and how can it track and ensure fast, quality, and efficient use of less time also in a smart way. Here, a patient knows how to track patients by using a collection of different wearable sensor nodes for real-time monitoring and examination of specific patient criteria. One of the most boosting subjects characterizes the development of medical technology within their own homes, enabling older or physically weak people to stay as long as possible at home while being medically cared for and monitored. We searched literature and guidelines in Pubmed, Web of Science, Google Scholar, Scopus, CNKI, and Embase databases up to 2019. The following search terms alone or matched with the Boolean operators ‘AND’ or ‘OR’ were used: "Nanoparticles", “Anticancer treatment", ‘Bioflavonoids’, ‘Plant origin drugs’, ‘Nano formulations’, ‘Cancer’ and ‘Novel drug delivery systems’. We focused on full-text articles, but abstracts were considered if relevant.

BACKGROUND: In recent years, a lot of research work has been done to transmit vital parameters of the patient using IOT (Internet of Things). The information related to Patient is sent by means of WBAN (Wireless Body Area Network) and sensors to the healthcare database. This has been shown a great potential to transmit vital parameter of the patient at a remote location. Remote monitoring of patient(s), including vital signs, sound and video is to be transmitted, particularly when a patient is in transit. By transmitting the imperative parameters of the patient to a specialist diminishes, the ideal opportunity for starting treatment and permits the emergency crew to be better prepared. This will facilitate a doctor to make a diagnostic conclusion. OBJECTIVES: This study aims to develop an advance system to transmit the vital parameters of the patient to the smart phone of the doctor at a remote location. After seeing essential parameters of the patient, the specialist can convey/endorse the medication from the remote area. METHODS: To monitor patient's data in real-time an android application is developed which helps the medical staff to monitor the patient from remote location. All the patient related information is stored in Real Time Clinical Database. RESULTS: The proposed model will allow the doctors to monitor physiological parameters (HR, NIBP, Temp, ECG, SPO2) of the patient, as well as endorse medication from the remote location. This system will be helpful to provide virtual presence of the doctor inside the ambulance and to provide lifesaving drugs to the patient while the patient is in transit. CONCLUSION: The present invention provides a fully integrated system for the doctor to view the vital signs of the patient from the remote location in real-time.

Today, the cyber-physical interactions are made possible with the development of internet and smart technologies. Smart objects such as sensors, RFID tags and actuators are the building blocks of such pervasive network, called as Internet of Things (IoT). IoT has a good number of real time applications in all domains including medical industry. It has great impact on modern healthcare with promising economic, technological and social benefits. Researchers across the globe already have started to explore a variety of technological solutions to enhance healthcare system by incorporating the potential of the IoT. This paper presents a unified framework ANNA, for integrating IoT in healthcare system. It presents three lightweight algorithms to enhance data security in the smart healthcare environment. In addition, this paper provides a detailed working scenario which would be helpful in implementing smarthealthcare units in rural India. The working scenario of the ANNA smart healthcare system and the workflow of the framework are also elaborated in this paper. The proposed framework is proved against possible attacks in the healthcare environment. The salient features of the framework are outlined and this research creates a hope that the smart healthcare units based on ANNA framework will offer on time medical care to the needy and the downtrodden.
